This installment of the 'Brass Series' features our Traditional shape matched with a unique Carlo Walnut veneer and brass inlay. Scientifically identified as Juglans hindsi, Claro Walnut is a dark-toned hardwood species originating from Northern California and is a bit darker than the commonly recognized English Walnut. More structurally sound for skateboarding, it is known for having some of the most notable figure of the Walnut family. Claro Walnut is more decay resistant and denser than Walnut found in the eastern regions of the U.S., making it ideal for our in-house finishing blend of pure Tung oil and locally harvested beeswax.
