This installment of the ‘Southwest’ Series introduces our newly transfigured Traditional shape, the Contemporary 8.4. Through inspiration drawn from native southwestern landscapes and culture, this deck has been laminated with Western Maple and decorated with turquoise / clay inlay materials sourced from the state of Arizona. Despite it being overlooked by the commercial lumber industry, Western Maple is a significant species amongst furniture craftsman and wood turners because of its less dense nature and ease of machining. Its vibrant red and golden color tones and more open grain pair with our orange oil and beeswax finishing blend turquoise / clay inlay.
